For weeks one topic has dominated the global headlines: the Corona virus. In the fight against the pandemic, the gaming industry is now joining forces and organizing together the Stay Safe! Jam from March 27th to 29th, launched by NUKKLEAR. A Game Jam as it has never been seen before.
A Game Jam usually brings together game developers in one place to work in different teams to design and develop a game in a very short time. However, since science, social responsibility and common sense prohibit the gathering of large crowds in times of Corona, the Stay Safe! Jam is designed to motivate game developers worldwide to stay at home, create a game within 48 hours and thus actively do their part in the fight against the virus.

Cohesion is always important. But in times of the Corona virus it is even more important. In this extraordinary situation, everyone can do their part to improve the situation. The most important thing is to stay home so that the spread of the virus slows down. Just because you are at home does not mean that you cannot be creative. This is the idea behind the Stay Safe! Jam, which was initiated just last Thursday, based on an idea by Jan Cosfeld, our Art Director at NUKKLEAR.
The Stay Safe! Jam is a Game Jam aimed at all game developers who want to set an example with us. The current crisis as a theme (the exact motto will be announced shortly before the start) allows for diverse and creative approaches, whether very concrete or abstract, critical or humorous or in a completely different way: make something out of it and process your feelings about the current situation into a game.
For us it's the first time that we're doing a Game Jam and we're currently working at full speed on all things that should make a smooth process possible.
The Jam will take place from March 27th to 29th and we are looking forward to as many registrations as possible.
