Frankfurt (Germany), 14th December, 2022 – Hunt: Showdown launches the much anticipated "Devil's Moon" live event today! It brings brand new features, a gripping new story, and over 50 rewards to unlock, including two new Legendary Hunters, Blood Bonds, weapons, and more. The event begins today and runs until February 15.

As the Devil's Moon rises, trapped souls must be liberated across the bayou. But that's just the start. Players can choose their side and pledge their Hunters to a pact, which will offer different benefits as they earn Event Points to unlock rewards. The Inferno, a wildcard map condition, will bring map enhancements with fire, at periodic intervals throughout the event. Two new Legendary Hunters are up for grabs – "Ochenkov's Widow" and the "False Saint" – alongside new weapons, consumables, and Weapon Charms, and new Challenges bring weekly tasks to complete for Event Points. There are also two Battle Pass tracks for players to earn even further rewards. It might be winter, but the action in the bayou is about to get hotter than ever before…

Features for the Devil's Moon live event include:

The Inferno

For the first time ever, "The Inferno" comes to the bayou. The Inferno is live on select days and maps in Hunt: Showdown. This wildcard condition adds an extra layer of danger and excitement to the game, as players must navigate through scorching flames to survive and emerge victorious.

Players can earn Event Points with the new Challenge system. Each week, a set of new challenges are released, and stars are rewarded for each completed task, which will be converted to Event Points.

Players are invited to choose their side for the Devil's Moon event. Tied into the 15-chapter story of the live event, by pledging a Hunter's allegiance to a pact, players will receive different event benefits and traits which will suit different play styles. Certain Hunters will also enjoy Event Points boosters too.

Rewards and Battle Pass

The new Battle Pass allows players to unlock 51 items across 51 levels, including 2 new Legendary Hunters, 2 Weapon Charms, 5 weapons, 7 Blood Bond prizes worth up to 1000 Blood Bonds in total, 10 Legendary Weapon Skins, and 7 types of Custom ammo. Reward highlights include Legendary Hunters "Ochenkov's Widow" and "False Saint" and weapons including The Springfield M1892 Krag bolt-action rifle, the LeMat Mark II shotgun, and the Martini-Henry IC1 rifle.

Event Store and DLC

Launching alongside the Devil's Moon Live Event is the new "Frau Perchta" DLC featuring a new Legendary Hunter, plus new Legendary Weapons. New Hunter Frau Perchta is available in two variations, a first for Hunt. Celebrating the holiday season, festive favorites will return to the store for the duration of the event alongside a range of new Weapon Charms.

Hunt: Showdown is out now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Players can find out more about the latest live event and the game by visiting

About Hunt: Showdown

Hunt: Showdown is a competitive first-person bounty hunting game that packs the thrill of survival games into a match-based format. Set in Louisiana in 1895, the game boasts a mixture of PvP and PvE elements that creates a uniquely tense experience. It's not just the creatures who are a threat—it's every Hunter on the map. In the classic game mode, a match of Hunt pits 12 players—playing solo or in teams of two or teams of three —against each other as they race to take out gruesome beasts for a bounty they must collect and get off of the map, while Hunt's quickplay mode offers a shorter match for solo players to scavenge for weapons as they compete for a diminishing pool of bounty. The higher the risk, the higher the reward–but a single mistake could cost everything. Hunt is available now on Steam. For more information, visit
