Frankfurt am Main (Germany) / Denver (US) – July 25, 2011
New World Interactive (“Newworld”), a newly formed independent game developer based in Denver, today announced that it has licensed the state-of-the-art CryENGINE®3 from Crytek GmbH to develop Lethal Enterprise, a free to play FPS game about the drug war.
“Besides the game being about the drug war we don’t want to reveal too much. We’re very excited about licensing CryENGINE and truly hope to raise the bar when it comes to visual expectations of free to play games” says Newworld’s President Jeremy Blum, who was the original producer of Red Orchestra and Insurgency, both Mod of the Year Award winners.
“A lot of people say that mod development is nothing like AAA downloadable game development. My guess is this person never made a total conversion mod before” said Jeremy, who first came up with the concept for Red Orchestra when he was 14 years old.
New World Interactive has just launched its official website at http://www.newworldinteractive.com
“We’re thrilled to welcome New World Interactive as a new licensee and are happy that Jeremy and his team chose CryENGINE 3 to realize their FPS project.” says Carl Jones, Director of Global Business Development CryENGINE. “We strongly believe that CryENGINE®3 will revolutionize the free-to-play market with AAA content and are looking forward to seeing more of Lethal Enterprise.”
