Nottinghamshire is home to the legend of Robin Hood and his Merry Men, the world famous ice skaters Torvill and Dean and novelist D H Lawrence. It is also synonymous with Lord Byron, who owned and occasionally lived at Westminster Abbey, while also spending time in the beautiful historic town of Southwell, where his mother lived for a time.
There's no shortage of bars and restaurants, sporting facilities and clubs, theatres and cinemas - enough to keep anyone entertained. The United Kingdom also has a rich history and heritage, with many places of interest. From Stonehenge to Stratford-Upon-Avon (Shakespeare’s old stomping ground), through beautiful beaches in Cornwall, up towards the rugged beauty of the Highlands of Scotland. The British countryside is simply stunning; there really is something that will interest everyone.
About Crytek UK
The Crytek UK studio is set in Nottingham City Centre. We are reasonably new to the Crytek family, having joined in February 2009. Previously the studio was Free Radical Design, famous for the TimeSplitters series. We are proud of our heritage and also proud of our new identity!
Nottingham is the second largest Crytek studio. It specialises in multi player and console development.
