Crytek at Gamescom 2016: Day Three

The crowds are growing. More and more cosplayers are appearing among the masses, and the lines to try the most exciting new games have stretched from 45 minutes to four hours. What we’re saying is this: if you want to be among the first to try our VR titles Robinson: The Journey and The Climb (with Oculus Touch controllers for the first time!), then you’d better get to our Gamescom stand (Hall 6) fast.

Also, we’re giving away swag after Gamescom to the best entries from the #VRmoments hashtag. Not to mention the sweet, sweet swag we are giving away to everyone who tries the games at our booth.

As Gamescom visitors were facing off with dinosaurs and exploring mysterious new planets, the press began sharing early impressions of our VR demos on show. Italian news site Ridble described Robinson: The Journey as “one of the most ambitious virtual reality projects,” adding that it was “not only an interactive experience, but a real escape from reality, immersing us in a new world that feels dangerous and fascinating in equal measure.” But don’t just take their word for it. Check out some player reactions from our Gamescom booth: And of course, Twitter had plenty to say as well, with @Volodiaa1 enthusing that “The Climb is just breathtaking with the Oculus Touch,” and @PlagaNocturna concluding “Best of #gamescom so far, the Crytek stand. Robinson is gorgeous and The Climb has incredible VR presence.”

Check back in on Monday for our final Gamescom wrap up!
