Sound Designer
Requirements:
- 1-2 years audio experience in gaming industry.
- At least one previously published title credited (please list all game credits to date)
- Knowledge of PC-based pro audio software; such as Nuendo, Sound Forge or Waves plug-ins.
- Able to take direction well, yet be able to solve minor problems on his/her own.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and a positive team attitude essential.
- Creative approach to sound design required
- Strong English language verbal and written communication skills.
Pluses:
- Knowledge of a sound implementation tool such as XACT, ISACT or FMOD. .
- Experience in designing sounds for first person shooters.
- Ability to accurately predict task durations and understand dependencies
- Passion for making great video games
Responsibilities:
- Creates, edits and implements in-game sound effects.
- Tracks and manages large numbers of assets in an orderly fashion.
- Assists in editing and processesing foley and dialog to fit a variety of in-game situations
- Editing of music and of soundscapes in game levels may be required
- Completes all work in a timely basis and to a consistently high quality standard
- Remains focused, motivated and effective on all tasks through completion
- Good communication and writing skills and create documentation where required.
- Directly responsible for adhering to all company policies and procedures.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by Leads or manager with accountability and responsibility defined prior to the commencement of these duties.
- The safeguarding of the company's assets including source code, art work, sound libraries, tools, and technical know-how.
- Provide input to department project status meetings.
- Actively participate in team working on project by making recommendations on how to improve product quality as well as group productivity.
- Demonstrates a desire to learn and grow professionally
