Lead Community Manager

Requirements:

  • Capable of meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills needed.
  • Works well under pressure.
  • Strong English written and spoken communication skills combined with a passion for gaming
  • Professional attitude and teamwork
  • Willing to relocate to Frankfurt am Main/Germany
  • 3-5 years experience in online marketing, community management, or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of successful online community management with measurable results.
  • Experience managing projects and working directly with cross-functional teams.
  • Comprehensive understanding of online community as it relates to delivering business objectives.
  • Online community expertise from a user standpoint. Online gameplay experience a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good understanding of broader entertainment industry: games, music, and movies, etc.
  • Ability to think strategically and effectively present new ideas.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Leading a team of Community Managers.
  • Manage communities around high-priority Crytek games.
  • Creation and realization of community activities.
  • Partner with Web Producer, Product Manager, Online Product Manager, Publicist, and others to participate in product strategy development and launch activities.
  • Facilitate community software feedback to support key objectives such as Beta Tests, troubleshooting, and ongoing reaction to supplemental content releases.
  • Maintain a vibrant post-ship community featuring contests and activities, community-generated content, forum discussions, downloads, and other interactions.
  • Administration of Crytek's official modding portal.
  • Managing a small group of Modding Portal team members
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by manager with accountability and responsibility defined prior to the commencement of these duties.
  • Ensuring effective communication between Developer/Publisher and the games’ community
  • Investigating open topics with other teams at Crytek
  • Developing community-related policies for franchise game forums
  • Managing community-related information and media releases
  • Providing regular reports.
  • Reports to Executive Management.
  • Be an expert in relevant gaming categories. Provide competitive analysis from community perspective.
  • Represent global community to Global Marketing Lead and Studio Team.
