Crytek at Gamescom 2016: Day Two

Day two of Gamescom: Just as fun, but with twice the, triple the, maybe even quadruple the people. As the halls fill up you begin to understand that those wide avenues – the avenues that felt enormous on Wednesday when only industry visitors strolled their length – aren’t going to be wide enough for all the gamers on their way. The halls already feel full, and it isn’t even peak Gamescom yet. This is just the beginning.

With Robinson: The Journey making its public debut and The Climb debuting publically with Oculus Touch controllers, we were really excited to hear what people thought. So we gathered some player reactions at our Gamescom booth:

As the day rolled by, Road to VR offered up some generous praise of their hands-on time with The Climb and Oculus Touch, saying the new controllers made for “an entirely new experience.” Players were sharing their thoughts on Twitter to squee as well, using the #VRmoment hashtag to highlight their visit to the Crytek booth. @APickett tweeted to say how “blown away” he’d been by The Climb, @Nokterian said his first taste of VR with The Climb and Robinson was the “most awesome experience ever,” and @GinnytWcosplay announced “I love love love @RobinsonJourney.” Thanks to each and every person who has taken the time to come by and check out both games so far – and we look forward to meeting many more of you over the next two days!
